Building an Innovation Ecosystem and Circular Economy: A Case of Konza Technopolis

Innovation ecosystems and Circular Economy are economic engines for creating new ideas and scaling existing innovations.

This paper gives an insight into the place of collaborations and partnerships in building a thriving innovation ecosystem in Konza and how it has supported the growth of startups and attracted enterprises among them those focusing on the circular economy. It features key infrastructure development that the government has invested in that will provide a test bed for enterprises. This relieves businesses from capital intense investment since the government has already bought down the risk. Further, as a gazetted special economic zone, investors are incentivised to venture and create value from the existing programs.
