Space Krenovation Park: A case study of setting up a Space-themed Science Park in a dynamic and dense industrial environment on the eastern seaboard of Thailand

Space Kreanovation Park (SKP), a specialized Science Park, is located in strategic location - close to the industrial area on the eastern seaboard of Thailand and elite universities. This will make it an invaluable asset for increasing the level of competitiveness for geospatial industry in both domestic and international level. By providing high demand of goods, strong domestic manufacturing base, cost advantages, well-educated talent pool, abundant low cost skilled workforce, and ability to leverage IT competitiveness, its tenants will be able to provide specialists and niche solutions to the market which cannot be found anywhere else. Based on a research survey to local GIS and space field enterprises, this paper discusses the requisites in setting up a Space-themed Science Park in a dynamic and dense industrial environment of Thailand.
