Regions rich in talent and innovation can come together to overcome the challenges and maximize the opportunities presented by the 4th Industrial Revolution. STPs and AOIs can help to minimize the risk inherent in internationalizing and amplify the potential gains by partnering with each other across international borders. This paper outlines one such partnership between Ann Arbor SPARK in Ann Arbor, MI, USA, with AMZ Saxony in Dresden, Germany. The Transatlantic Automated Driving Alliance (or TADA) created between the two organizations represents significant opportunity for both the companies and organizations involved. By detailing the genesis of the partnership, the projects it is fostering, and the current and future plans, we are presenting a model of international partnership
that is applicable all over the world in any industry.
