Tech Parks Arizona announces key leadership promotions
Tech Parks Arizona, celebrating its 30th anniversary, has announced several leadership promotions effective 1 July, aimed at supporting its future growth.
Casey Carrillo, a familiar face to peers who might have met her at an IASP event, has been promoted to executive director of the University of Arizona Center for Innovation (UACI). Casey will collaborate with Anita Bell to manage UACI programs, with the objective of maintaining its role as a leading incubator for science and technology startups in Arizona.
Patrick Murphy has been appointed chief operating officer. Patrick will oversee the operational aspects of Tech Parks Arizona, drawing on his background in operations, construction, and facilities management.
Eric Smith will assume the role of chief innovation officer, focusing on enhancing funding opportunities and developing corporate partnerships for UACI.
Tech Parks Arizona, an IASP full member, has played a significant role in the local economy over the past three decades, contributing $2 billion annually to Southern Arizona. These appointments are part of the organisation's strategy to continue its development and economic impact.
