Ester Limoges Technopole
Created in 1993 at the initiative of the City of Limoges, and today supported by the Limoges Métropole Urban Community, Ester Technopole is a hub of innovation which contributes to the economic and social development of the region.
Focusing on ceramics, materials and surface treatments, electronics, optics, ICT, biotechnology and environment, ESTER (Scientific and Technological Exchanges and Space Research) Technopole is a resource centre and clearinghouse at the heart of regional innovation.
The park is involved in the creation and growth of innovative technology-based projects, providing project leaders, business leaders, researchers, students to create the best conditions for business development. It brings together on one 210 hectare site the world of industry (multinationals, SMEs and startups) and research (laboratories, technology transfer centres), creating a network based on collaborations and partnerships. It is also the home of several tech clusters, including the French Lasers and Microwave Cluster, the European Ceramic Cluster, and the Cancer-Bio-Santé Cluster. ESTER currently houses almost 200 resident companies employing close to 3000 people, as well as an engineering school with over 700 students.
Services include training, support accessing venture capital and financing and help with exports, as we as business development provided via an incubator and network of entrepreneurs.
