ISTT President appointed to Iranian Ministry of Science, Research & Technology

IASP is pleased to congratulate our colleague Dr. Mehdi Keshmiri on his appointment as Deputy for Technological Affairs to Iran’s Ministry for Science, Research and Technology.

Dr. Mehdi Keshmiri, President of Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) was appointed by Dr. Masoud Boroomand, Iran’s Deputy Minister for Research & Technology as his Deputy for Technological Affairs. He was also named as the Director of the Ministry of SRT’s Office for Policy Legislation and Planning of Technological Affairs. 

Dr. Keshimiri is President of ISTT, organisers of this year’s IASP world conference, taking place from 2-5 September in Isfahan. You can find out more about the event at www.iasp2018isfahan.com.

He has also been President of the IASP WANA Division, a board member of the Asian Association of Science Parks (ASPA) and World Technopolis Association (WTA). Dr. Keshmiri has participated on projects funded by the World Bank for the development of the Technological Incubation Process within Iran and is also the European Commission’s National Contact Point for Horizon 2020.

With his extensive experience in the field of innovation and knowledge-based development, he hopes to contribute to the advancement of Iran’s entrepreneurial output and economic growth by promoting science and technology parks in the country.
