Royal Science and Technology Park
The Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP), was created through the vision of, His Majesty, King Mswati III of Eswatini. The Royal Science and Technology Park is designated to operate as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and along with investment incentives. The Park offers lucrative financial or Tax incentives for Enterprises located within the Park. The Royal Science and Technology Park is divided into two divisions which are the IT Park and the Biotechnology Park. These two parks utilise 317 hectares of land for industrial development, research laboratories, administration centres and residential buildings.
The IT Park is dedicated to R&D in IT, production of high tech products, capacity building in latest technologies, marketing and trading. The IT Park was established to address the slow performance of the economy particularly in the adoption of Information Technology in Eswatini. This park aims to ensure that the current employees in IT acquire the right skills to support the country’s industrial sector.The other part of the RSTP is the Biotechnology Park. It is a multi-purpose platform for R&D in bio-related technologies, and production. This park consists of the biotechnology research centre, incubation facilities, service centre and agricultural related biotechnology facility.
