One of the biggest concerns for the health department during the covid-19 pandemic in Pakistan as well as worldwide is how to cope with the shortage of ventilators as the number of patients keep on increasing day by day. Within few months after the first Covid-19 case was recorded in Pakistan, National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) has become capable of producing own ventilators which the country was already facing shortage. In first batch NRTC has manufactured 8 ventilators and delivered to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

During the covid-19 pandemic initially NRTC started with repairing 109 ventilators free of cost now currently being used by hospitals across Pakistan. Already nine private hospitals are employing services of NRTC with the pledge to provide free of cost treatment to COVID-19 patients. NRTC has also started designing and manufacturing remote patient monitoring systems ability to transmit real time health vitals data to the doctor which can be used for a comprehensive pandemic outbreak monitoring platform where patients in isolation can easily send their critical vitals to their doctors or loved ones without potential exposure.

NRTC is the high tech industry engaged in manufacturing of Telecommunication/Electronics equipment manufacturer and solution providers both in public and private sectors in Pakistan. It is the pioneer in Telecommunication equipment in Pakistan and leader in the field of communication for the last three decades.
