We conclude that the innovation model with 10% employees as an innovation team is the most agile and effective system for innovation and digital transformation even in unexpected circumstances, by comparing the three classical operation models for innovation and the outcomes in China. Employee ownership and competition are emphasized in the approach, which also stresses localization for multinational teams. To build a sustainable organization, management teams should embrace ecosystem mindsets that include industry giants, STPs, and AOIs. Other technology transitions, such as green tech, can use the same concept.
