Description:
The advance and convergence of digital technologies, characteristics of the 4th Industrial Revolution, has impacted the business environment as a whole. The anachronistic VUCA has become a trend to characterize the current dominant dynamics of unpredictable change that affect many industries. In this context, Science Parks and Areas of Innovation have the opportunity to play a central role as a hub of connection between the Quadruple Helix, while it is critical to evaluate the sustainability of its governance models considering the VUCA world. In this paper we present the pathway that led Tecnopuc (PUCRS’ Scientific and Technology Park) to migrate from an organizational model structured in independent and highly specialized areas to a distributed and connected model. Based on the construction of an autonomous and responsible team, Tecnopuc aims to be an ecosystem lighter and faster, where the uncertainty environment is assumed as a source of opportunities.
