Its importance is increasing as Australia moves from a resource-based economy to one focused on the management and application of new knowledge. The leading research conducted at Australian universities and research institutes is an important source of new knowledge and inventions to fuel the developing innovation economy.\nIP management in publicly funded research organisations is critical to the development and growth of the innovation economy.
