In recent years, significant changes to the ownership model for Science Parks and other innovation locations have been observed. These changes have had an impact on knowledge intensive activities within contemporary Science and Technology Parks (STPs) and consequently on performance measurement of Science Parks and areas of innovation. This webinar explores developments in how STPs measure performance.
As contemporary STPs became knowledge intensive, they show attributes of ‘knowledge intensive organisations’ (KIOs). These ‘unique intangible features’ which distinguish science parks from typical property management organisations make their performance measurement a complex exercise.
A recent European study carried has demonstrated a willingness of STPs to demonstrate the value of their knowledge intensive work. It has also indicated a significant discrepancy between what STPs already measure in terms of their performance and what they think is important and adequate for them to measure. This webinar takes an in-depth look at how STPs measure performance and how they are adapting to the new knowledge intensive model.
