Technological Professional Residence: The Legacy of the Human Capital Formation Model of the Porto Digital

This work is a detailed analysis of Program created In 2019, to mitigate the distortions arising from human capital gap in IT area in the Porto Digital, a Brazilian technology park, developed the Technological Professional Residency Program responsible for bringing educational institutions closer to the job market. The market points out the necessary professional profile, the training institutions model their curricular matrices and their pedagogical plans to the needs of the market, and the students participate in this experiment through a practical experience in solving challenges with immersive activities inside the companies. This work presents the methodology and results of this Program which, by the end of the first group of graduates, reached a total of 82% of graduates employed in IT companies. There are currently 800 students undergoing this immersive experience, of which 500 are studying at the expense of the local government.
