Carl Viel appointed as new president of IASP North America Division

IASP is pleased to announce Carl Viel as the new president of the IASP North America Division. Carl, who currently serves as president and CEO of Québec International, succeeds Carol Stewart, whose term concluded at the recent IASP North American Division event in Hamilton, Canada.

Carl Viel brings a wealth of experience to the position, with a distinguished career in economic development and innovation. Since 2008, he has led Québec International, an organisation supporting businesses and key clusters in the Quebec City region and area of innovation in their growth and market development.

Carl’s extensive background includes previous roles as CEO of Montréal InVivo and vice-president at Montréal International, where he was responsible for the life sciences sector.

His professional journey is marked by contributions to various organisations, including GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Roche, and numerous board memberships, such as BIOQuébec and the Consider Canada City Alliance.
