The supervisory board of Kennispark Twente in the Netherlands has appointed Bertyl Lankhaar as the innovation campus's new director, following her six-month tenure as interim director.

Arjan Kampman, chairman of the supervisory board, expressed confidence in Lankhaar’s leadership: “Bertyl has brought calm and structure. Her collaborative approach has been well received. She understands what the area and its stakeholders need to enhance Kennispark’s position as a top work location and one of the three largest innovation campuses in the Netherlands”.

Bertyl commented, “It is an honour to fulfil this role for Kennispark. Over the past six months, I have seen what a special science park this is, with many innovative companies and talents. I see many opportunities to build a strong, future-proof innovation campus with the entrepreneurs, the municipality of Enschede, and the University of Twente, significantly contributing to the economy of Enschede and Twente”.

Kennispark Twente, an IASP full member, is home to more than 400 high-tech companies and over 900 spin-offs and works in close collaboration with the University of Twente, making it a significant hub for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the Netherlands.
