We are witnessing a shift in the competition for talent by organizations resident in STPs and AOIs from local to global courtesy of increased globalization of the science and technology industry and pervasiveness of technology. This competition for talent has intensified, with the developed world attracting and retaining the best talent in the field, to the disadvantage of developing countries. To address this, Konza has adopted a strategy of Talent Ecosystem Management of hybridity, aimed at attracting, retaining, and harnessing the full potential of diverse talent. This Paper seeks to explore the culture of hybridity in tapping and leveling up talent applied to address talent gaps within the ecosystem in a manner that values diversity and inclusiveness.
Further, it highlights the programs undertaken and their efficacy in promotion of the development of locally oriented talents especially considering megatrends of individualization, erosion of gender boundaries, urbanization, and growing power of cities.
