Blockchain – based innovation network between Spanish Science and Technology Parks (BLOCKPCT)

Thirty years ago, Spanish science and technology parks (STPs) began to bring the technology of the moment, including an incipient Internet, to the companies and entities that were in them. Many of these companies came to the parks precisely for this purpose, to be able to access a technology that was not available elsewhere. Currently, the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) has 64 members, 51 of which are in operation and have more than 8,000 companies and entities that stand out for their high degree of innovation. In this context, we have been working in our association on a strategic project to return science and technology parks to the attractiveness they once had when they were the only place where companies could access the latest technologies. This project consists of creating a private Blockchain network between all the science and technology parks that are APTE members.
