Description:
This study examines the factors that foster student entrepreneurship and their correlation with studying entrepreneurship. Quantitative data analysis revealed that a student's passion for entrepreneurship has a greater impact on their entrepreneurial intent than studying entrepreneurship. Statistical findings also indicated that a student's family background plays a more significant role in their choice to become an entrepreneur than studying entrepreneurship. Real-world experience was identified as a key stimulus in fostering student entrepreneurship. Qualitative interviews further supported these findings, emphasizing the limited role of studying entrepreneurship and the importance of passion, market gaps, and family background. Finally, the study suggests that universities should focus on providing opportunities for real-world experience and supporting students' passions rather than relying solely on entrepreneurship courses to foster student entrepreneurship.
