IASP member science parks in Estonia, Slovenia and Spain, and Slovenia have appointed new CEOs this month.

In Estonia, Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol has named Indrek Orav as new CEO to succeed outgoing CEO Jaak Raie. Indrek Orav has been an entrepreneur himself and has been connected with the field of innovation for over 30 years. He is also a knowledge mentor, and has previously worked as a CEO of Rail Baltic Estonia as well as advising many companies.

Taking the helm at Technology Park Ljubljana is Matej Cerar, a lawyer with a postgraduate degree in sustainable management. His previous professional experience includes a renowned law firm, and a role at the Municipality of Ljubljana as advisor to the Director of the City Administration. He was deputy director of the Technology Park Ljubljana before taking on the CEO position.

Heading to Seville, Spain, Cartuja Science and Technology Park (PCT Cartuja) has recently appointed Luis Pérez Díaz as new CEO, taking over from outgoing CEO Martin Blanco. After beginning his career in the private sector, Luis joined PCT Cartuja in 2003 where he was responsible for setting up a dedicated team for new business support, before taking on the role of Director of Innovation and Projects. Since 2010 he has run the park’s Marie Curie Tech Incubator, which has already supported more than 120 startups and entrepreneurs.

We look forward to supporting all three in their endeavours as they lead IASP member science parks.
