Open Accelelrator is an innovative, international initiative conceived to identify, select and support the acceleration of innovative digital and technological proposals and startups working in order to develop solutions aimed to fulfill needs under the paradigm of ""4P"" medicine (prevention, prediction, personalization and participaion) and along the entire patient journey.

To support promising proposal able to ""break the rules of the game"" and at the same time abe to fulfill patient and health care actors needs. Such proposals have difficulties to be visible and able to scale up. Scale up is the only way in such case to offer to the market and to single patients solutions. They have difficulties both in having a correct evaluation of their proposal and in being able to be supported by specialized mentors/coaches and exposed to the risk capital ecosystem at international level. An international vision and a wide network of partners are complementing the approach.

In the first 3 editions we collected around 300 proposal selecting around 30 candidates for the accelleration and awarding 6 startups delivering awards for around 600K

The program is innovative under 2 points of view 1) the identification of the focus of the OA is the consequence of an adaptation of the ""stanford biodesign"" approach with a clear focus on need identification at different levels if interests (patients, industry, healtha ctors, etc) 2) the program is delivered thans to a partnership with deloitte adapting in a proactive way the contents to the companies that will be selected. In other words we use a flexible approach that permit to ""personalize"" the accelleration to the single companies selected.

Young and proactive people aiming to develop entrepreneurial projects in health care area. But also component of the overall health ecosystem (industries, risk capital, health care actors, public administrations, consultants) that are involved not only to deliver know-how or needs but also to became components of the developed solutions
