Generating AI focused products and services – next step of digitalization

In terms to upgrade Estonian companies’ digitalisation processes, development, innovation and productivity, Research and Development, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Strategy has been approved by the government of Estonia in 2020. The Strategy focuses on assessing the development needs and implement supportive actions for 15 years (up to 2035). It includes also artificial intelligence (AI). Thus special AI developing programme have been launched in Tehnopol in 2022 in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and Taltech University. The main target of the programme is to create AI focused products and services and support the use of AI mechanisms in factories to create more productivity. The programme collaborates and creates the maximum use of other AI focused activities in Estonia.

The first outcomes of the programme (for June 2022) are 10 new AI products and services on the market and 4 AI piloting projects in the factories.
