Located in Málaga, Spain, the Parque Tecnologico de Andalucia (hereinafter PTA) hosts today 650 companies and 20,000 professionals. Recently, PTA ‘s environment has significantly changed with the arrival of global companies working around Industry 4.0 technologies. New customers and new stakeholders with new demands and expectations. A different scenario which has required the re-thinking of the PTA’s infrastructures, facilities and services, also influencing marketing and branding policies, social responsibility and even the organizational model.
PTA’s experience presents some answers to becoming an attractive location and a learning environment for Industry 4.0. A redefinition which is pointing towards the “clusterization” of the PTA’s activity, more inclusive approaches and collaborative organizational models for an Industry 4.0 arena, where planning resources and measuring results is becoming increasingly relevant. Far-reaching challenges ahead which have turned into a framework of opportunities to strengthen the PTA’s leadership in an Innovation Ecosystem 4.0.
