Innovation and Digital Development Agency - Pirallahi High-tech Park

The Innovation Agency - Pirallahi High Tech Park was established by the government of Azerbaijan in 2012, and is located in the Pirallahi district of Baku.

The purpose of the park is to ensure sustainable economic development and increase competitiveness, expand and modernise the ICT sector, and conduct research and create up to date complexes for the development of new information technologies.

Its mission is to develop a high-tech economy in Azerbaijan and the region through economic incentives, favourable conditions for business, and advanced equipment. To achieve these goals Pirallahi High Tech Park is pursuing a strategy based on international best practice, including transformation of the existing ecosystem into a regional power through cooperation with international institutions and organizations.

Key sectors include Information technologies, Software engineering, Mobile technology, E-business, Graphic animation, Robotics and mechanics, Alternative and renewable energy, energy efficiency, Space and telecommunications, Biotechnology, Medical software solutions and LED technology.

Resident companies can access labs specialising in R&D, robotics & energy, as well as a FabLab and a multi media studio, as well as The Innovation House for IT and innovation projects and startups in the city centre.

The Innovation Agency supports several business incubators and innovation centres, including the Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (currently with 3 centres) and the Symbioz Technical Business Incubator. The agency also manages the Mingachevir High Technology Park site that opened in 2015 and specialises in computer products and electronic devices.
