IASP member parks have enjoyed multiple successes in the first half of 2024, providing inspiration for others in the network moving forwards to the end of the year and looking ahead to 2025.

Quebec International distinctions:

Quebec International has received two new distinctions on the international stage. Featured in Site Selection magazine’s prestigious Canada’s best locations 2024 award, and it was also named Canada’s Development Agency of the year.

Caldeira Institute honoured in Brazil Foundation Gala dinner:

Brazilian IASP member Instituto Caldeira was honoured by the Brazil Foundation at their 21st New York Gala dinner with their "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" Award. The award highlights philanthropic people and institutions in solidarity with floods affecting Rio Grande do Sul in May 2024. The largest flooding in the state's history impacted over 2 million people, resulting in 183 deaths and widespread damage. In efforts to raise awareness, the Brazil Foundation called for action towards rebuilding and restoring Rio Grande do Sul with its partnerships and collaborators.

Taiwan science parks successes:

All three of our member science parks in Taiwan have been accredited in the Taipei Times for their success amassing over NT$2 trillion, ($50 billion) in just the first half of this year all together. Southern Taiwan Science Park, Hsinchu Science Park, and Central Taiwan Science Park have been highlighted for their high achievement capabilities with this record-high turnover.

Hsinchu Science Park is a leader in the Taiwan tech industry, big data, and information and communications technology. It is also projected to receive more investment and talent, allowing for the software and hardware competences of the Taiwanese high-tech industry to flourish.

Southern Taiwan Science Park reported the largest turnover, growing by 36.98% in the first half of 2024. This growth is fuelled by the spike in demand for AI, ICT, and semiconductor technology as well.

Central Taiwan Science Park climbed by 7.54%, backed by technological research and chip development.

The parks are projected to amass over NT$4 trillion, ($124 billion) all together by the end of the 2024. We are eager to see the impact our member parks have on both the Taiwan and international tech and ICT industries, as well as their innovative solutions to new problems in 2025.
