Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol in Estonia has announced the appointment of Agnes Roos as its new CEO, succeeding Indrek Orav, who served in the role for five years.

Agnes brings over two decades of experience in IT and business development to her new position. She previously held significant roles at Eesti Energia, the Estonian public energy company, where she focused on IT development and client services.

In addition to her professional achievements, Agnes is actively involved in academia and professional organisations. She serves on the Programme Council for the Master’s course in Digital Transformation in Business at Tallinn University of Technology and is a member of the management board of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications. She is also recognised as a management mentor.

Commenting on her new role, Agnes said: “Tehnopol helps release the development potential of technology companies in the different phases of growth, and so makes innovation an integral part of every day, and that is what really speaks to me. I can see how my experience can really complement the excellent skills of Tehnopol.”

“It has been a great honour to lead Tehnopol,” said Indrek Orav. “My heartfelt appreciation goes out to the entire Tehnopol team whose unwavering dedication and commitment to our shared values have been the driving force behind our accomplishments. I am pleased to pass the baton to Agnes and I wish her lots of success.”

Thanks for the good years working with IASP, Indrek, and for your contribution to international cooperation and the thriving of our industry. And welcome Agnes!
