IASP Global Survey 2022: Science and technology parks and areas of innovation throughout the world

The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) has an extensive international network of innovation ecosystems, and is ideally placed to study and examine the current trends and figures at a worldwide. In order to obtain this data for analysis IASP periodically conducts surveys and research within the industry of areas of innovation and science & technology parks ( AOIs/STPs). This statistical report, based on data gathered during 2021, gives a clear analysis of the data and provides a comprehensive overview of  AOIs and STPs on an international scale, as well as being an excellent platform from which to continue more in-depth study. There are many factors that can affect the growth and development of STPs and AOIs, and keeping abreast of what is happening in the industry is of interest for practitioners, policymakers and academics alike. This edition also contains a chapter on the effects of COVID-19 on our industry, exploring the ways in which AOIs/STPs adapted, support they gave to resident companies and the ways in which management teams adjusted, and the economic impact of the pandemic.
