Description:
4th Industrial Revolution requires a high level of innovation and learning, which requires high- performing teams. So far, no Swedish incubator has offered a team-development program, based on science and specific conditions in start-ups, to increase the business plan progression and long-term survival rate. The STEP-program forms new structures which can be disseminated within the Swedish innovation support system. The program was developed through Design Research Methodology and tested on a group of 22 entrepreneurial teams, through collaboration with a research team and participation in their study focusing on high-performing New Venture Teams. Through need-based digital tools and a customized process based on research-based tools - the teams work on self-awareness, team insight and peer-to-peer learning events focusing on themes specifically important for start-ups. Subjective assessment of the program's effect on the success of the start-up teams and participant satisfaction indicate that STEP-program had a positive effect and is a feasible program.
