New regional office for EIT Digital opens at NOI Techpark
EIT Digital, one of Europe’s leading organisation for driving digital transformation and tech talent development, has opened a new regional office at NOI Techpark (Bolzano, Italy).
The office opening was formalised on December 4th with the signing of a collaboration protocol in the presence of key local and European stakeholders, representing a fundamental step in strengthening the collaboration between EIT Digital and the South Tyrolean innovation ecosystem and creating new opportunities for digital sector development through facilitated access to European funding for companies.
"The initiative is part of a broader vision of NOI Techpark, which aims to be one of the main next-generation European scientific and technological parks, to best support our territory and its companies, European values, and our planet's future," emphasises NOI Techpark President Helga Thaler Ausserhofer "thanks to EIT Digital, companies will have easier access to funding programs and European funds, which will be reflected in the innovative strength and competitiveness of companies and the territory."
"EIT Digital is committed to keeping Europe at the forefront of digital innovation, guiding the technological transition according to European values and sustainability goals. The new office at NOI Techpark will be a catalyst for initiatives aimed at using strategic technologies for the good of people and the planet. A consolidated partnership and an even stronger alliance for Europe's digital future," comments Elena Contioso-Fleming, EIT Digital's Regional Director South.
The physical presence of EIT Digital at NOI Techpark will allow consolidating and expanding existing collaborations, facilitating local companies' access to resources and EIT Digital's international network. The collaboration between EIT Digital and NOI Techpark is not new: NOI Techpark, thanks also to the activities developed by its EU Opportunities unit, has been a strategic partner for EIT Digital for years. With this new piece, the two organisations can work even more closely together to promote sustainable and inclusive technological development throughout the Bolzano Autonomous Province.
