Big Chemistry’s RobotLab Programme has recently been established at Noviotech Campus in the Netherlands. IASP member Noviotech Campus welcomes the programme, which has received €97 million in funds in efforts to grow the Netherlands’ position in the global chemical robotics and artificial intelligence sector.
Led by physical-organic chemistry professor at Radboud University, Wilhelm Huck, RobotLab is an ambitious research programme with the goal of creating a fully automated chemistry lab in just seven years.
With this, Big Chemistry aims to play a significant role in Dutch science and tech, as they train brand new algorithms to predict molecular system properties. As a fully roboticised lab, RobotLab’s construction paves the way for large numbers of experimentations carried out, aiding advancements cementing the Netherlands as a competitive player in the intersection between big data and chemistry.
Congratulations to Noviotech Campus for securing such an important programme and we look forward to seeing the developments and advancements being made by our IASP members.
