Empowering Entrepreneurs: NTSP's Launch Lab programme
IASP member National Science and Technology Park (NSTP), Pakistan, recently conducted its ‘Launch Lab’ entrepreneurial workshop at the NUST Balochistan Campus. The program aimed to equip over 50 young aspiring entrepreneurs, including 25% female students with the tools and knowledge needed to transform innovative ideas into actionable solutions.
Led by NTSP experts Yaruq Nadeem and Zayn N. Qureshi, the program provided over 12 hours of immersive learning, blending theoretical insights with practical exercises. The workshop included sessions on ideation, problem identification, and prioritisation. Participants were introduced to the Business Model Canvas, exploring its intricacies by ways of hands-on activities and real-world case studies. Concepts created by the participants were then tested by market research, customer personas, and prototyping, where participants created Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Concluding the workshop were impactful pitches prepared to emphasise strong storytelling techniques and effective communication.
This initiative showcased NSTP’s work towards encouraging innovation and resilience by empowering youth, including Afghan refugees and underserved communities. Through programmes like ‘Launch Lab,’ NSTP continues to strengthen Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, inspiring the next generation of changemakers.
