Undoubtedly, lifelong learning is essential and needed to increase competitiveness and people’s opportunities for constant knowledge development. Green and digital transitions, bigger health sector needs, and globalization put higher demands on skills. Jobs are changing and the need for lifelong learning is increasing in many sectors. Digital competencies are needed in many sectors, and a broad, wide pool of forces is needed! Therefore, finding sustainable solutions to the problems becomes more and more important.
During 2021 Linköping Science Park, together with Skill, carried through a pre-study where we have sought answers to a number of general and universal questions regarding lifelong learning. We focused on the most well-known sectors for us; ICT and the manufacturing industry. The findings of the pre-study have been the ground for new project ideas to meet future skills and opportunities for re-skill and up-skill.
