Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

The SEDETEC department at the Rio Grande do Sul Federal University promotes interaction between the University and the community, encouraging and supporting technological development and innovation. Activities focus on intellectual property, innovative entrepreneurship, grants management and technology transfer, bringing the university into closer contact with companies and public institutions.

The university also supports entrepreneurship through its Entrepreneurship Programme which aims at stimulating entrepreneurship and innovation through practical activities. The Programme works for the university community and society as a whole, improving UFRGS’s capacity to test ideas and exchange knowledge between academia and the market.
